personally I think more people should offer russian roulette dares and enforce the consequence of such.
compulsive self-harming actions are something to bring up in therapy, and the more consistently someone gets hit with the consequences for this, the faster they will be conditioned to act appropriately.
even the most feral dog can be trained.
