fixed my problem with elisa. for everyone who has the same bug that track progression freezes the app: the problem seems to occur since pipewire got updated to 1.6.10. elisa is using the alsa plugin by default but prefers the pulse audio plugin when installed. on arch simply install the vlc-plugin-pulse package and everything should work again. #arch #linux #kde #elisa #musicplayer #pulseaudio #pipewire #alsa

I'm now running Alpine Linux with Plasma and Wayland on my ThinkPad T14 G1.
While I like i3, I wanted something that handles fractional scaling better than X11 and i3 on this stupid combo of screen size and resolution (1080p @ 14"). I must say that Plasma with Wayland works really good for this!
I also wrote about how easy it is to install Alpine Linux and a DE like Plasma on my Swedish blog:
I have reported a major bug in #KDE #Plasma 6.8.1, where if you turn on accessibility settings, you are unable to turn them off afterwards at all.
Moreover, keyboard typing is heavily borked and user experience degraded.

:fedora: Fedora 45 recibió su segundo NO-GO y no saldrá la próxima semana. Hay bugs bloqueantes sin resolver, como fallos con LVM/LUKS tras actualizar y un problema en Discover de KDE Plasma.

The second maintenance release of the 26.08 series is out with the usual batch of stability fixes and workflow improvements.
Highlights include improved project handling and ability to set the frame count to start at 1 in the Dynamic Text filter which is useful for animation workflows. This release also fixes several issues in proxy clips, titles, and audio levels.

The last maintenance release of the 26.04 series is out, bringing the usual batch of bug fixes and workflow and stability improvements. Highlights include fixes for crashes when undoing sequence creation and recording audio without an audio device, as well as improvements to Rectangular Alpha Mask and Rotoscoping effects.
