Discovered today that #LWV's online Voter Guide, #Vote411, has wrong information for #NewMexico - it says in-person voting is only available on Election Day. Not true: NM early voting started October 6, with expanded early voting since Oct 17.
Vote411 says the bad info comes from Google Civic API and they can't change it. Great. I'm steaming. LWV is supposed to be about providing accurate information to voters, and here we are passing along Google's bad information.

A #NewMexico #Democrat in the House introduced a billlast week that would make it easier for U.S. citizens to sue #immigration agents and the federal government over wrongful detentions and #arrests.
Rep. Teresa Leger Fernández credited ProPublica’s reporting as the catalyst for the bill, the Justice for Citizens Wrongfully Detained by ICE Act. Earlier this month, we revealed that more than 500 U.S. citizens have been detained in warrantless arrests during the second #Trump administration.
Leger Fernández said the legislation would roll back the protections from lawsuits that agents and the federal government currently have. It would also establish a minimum level of compensation for people who win their suits, and extend the statute of limitations for such cases.
