Praise be to Glitch. Here's the Mastodon.social future 5.0 no one asked for.

The 'I worked a few decades in tech' to #Fediverse pipeline ...

Using the #Fediverse I eventually end up hiding all #boosts. Seems that concept isn‘t convincing me.

#introduction

Hi , my name is Mark.

I'm a retired Englishman living in #France , married to @theMLW

I've been tinkering on the #fediverse since it started as #Laconica.

I run https://www.ttrss.info and https://indieweb-hosting.com

I've spent the last decade #cycling in a #velomobile but prefer #walking now.

Some of my current interests are -

#walking #hiking #selfhosting #proxmox #wordpress #tor #ttrss #electro #techno #railway #trainhopping #gaming #thelongdrive #snowrunner

Good Morning #fediverse #tzag

Vernissage allows for legit fediverse migration.

Pixelfed, not so much.

Somehow, over on the lemmyverse / piefed.social, it's only page after page of posts from my accounts on c/Microblogs! WTF? I'm going to make them private till they stop whatever is wrong there. https://piefed.social/c/microblogs?page=2&sort=new&layout=list&content_type=posts

I only found out because they banned me on this infosec.social account from crossposting to my own communities there for playing #HashTagGames. This is very bizarre. https://piefed.social/c/[email protected]/p/2502740/banned-from-crossposting-to-my-community-from-fediverse-without-notification

I don't know how many more of you out there are getting banned from a place you didn't give permission to follow you in the first place, let alone repost you without your knowledge. But I did see some familiar faces there, on the first page. https://piefed.social/c/[email protected]/p/2502740/banned-from-crossposting-to-my-community-from-fediverse-without-notification

...(To be updated. I've already been up all night trying to get to the bottom of this.)

Please boost I guess?

@paul I don't know if you're on piefed or lemmy but thought you might want to have a look at this and try to make sense of it yourself.

if you are serious about #enshitification and #sovereignty, but you still want to be on old platform "to not use/lose your audience":

1. drop news on inclusive, equitable, open platforms like the #fediverse at least an hour earlier than on older platforms
2. have closed platforms link to the news on the open platforms
3. give open platforms the same attention and respect of closed platforms

Otherwise your #fediverse presence is not authentic, is just fake
