"Oh come on Stego, surely scalpers are just the market's way of responding to a supply and demand mismatch. What's the harm?"

Oh I dunno, maybe robbing trucks known to frequent merchandise grading establishments and game stores for tchotchkes that are being artificially constrained specifically to drive up this sort of attention?

Seriously, I'm tired of giving companies a pass for scalpers. They create the situation in the first place by rushing product out as soon as possible before supplies can be normalized, or artificially limiting production runs just to maximize this sort of demand and "advertising".

Until there are consequences for this behavior, the scalping and robberies will continue.
