Thought Control Resonant had a bug because it would reliably stutter every 1 second.
Actual problem: TV used as a display somehow persuaded Windows to set refresh at 59.94Hz. Manually set it to 60Hz and now everything is smooth again.

I do technical marketing stuff with a specialism in consent managment / PECR / GDPR compliance. Retro computers are what I actually love playing with as well as synths and drum machines.

I am extremely not a violent person, but one time I did come close to imitating a fight.
What provoked me? I’ll tell you.
I sat next to a coworker during a team meal after-hours and they ordered a well done steak and when it arrived they slathered it with tomato ketchup.

Had 10 unused days of annual leave left.
Used 3 to bridge between Christmas and New Year
Then I used the rest to give myself a run of consecutive 4 working day weeks in the run-up to Christmas.
And one 3 day week, just because.
I wish I had 4-day weeks for forever.
I'm mostly enjoying playing Control Resonant, but at the same time there are so many new emerging quests / side quests and the open world aspect is *really* fucking open that the whole thing can get a bit daunting and overwhelming.

Lots of negatives said about Mac gaming, but I downloaded and played Cyberpunk 2077 last night and the out-of-the-box settings were great. No raytracing, but a 60FPS smooth experience.
What Mac does better than PC is HDR. It is the first time I’ve ever been impressed with HDR game presentation. They completely nailed it.
I would never buy a Mac for gaming, but gaming on Mac is pretty decent.
