Got a used https://waldorfmusic.com/protein/ synth. Super excited to fool with and program the thing. It's 4x multi-timbral and you can map virtually any parameter or control to any CC#. This is how it should be in general for modern #midi devices, I think maybe.
My girlfriend and I do a live whatnot show selling sterling jewelry every week. We've been just streaming over her iPhone. But I'm setting up OBS on her laptop, so we'll be able to do picture-in-picture with DroidCam. Also, our background music, currently provided by a Bose speaker, will now be an OBS audio source. Plus, I made a cool #Perl Windows program to trigger cartoon sound effect audio samples with my 64-pad MIDI controller. Haha! :D
Working from the bottom up on a #perl midi program to allow my joystick to change cc# settings for X-Y, on the fly. Gotta replace those magic `control_change` literals with a meaningful named hash of some kind, though. 🤔

This is pretty cool. My new music sequencer's companion app let's you up- or downgrade different firmware releases. More apps should be doing this, imho. :)
