Open remote profile ↗Did the calibration and setup for the #Snapmaker U1 last night. Waiting for the lid to arrive and some filament. Very happy with how plug-and-play it is. Haven't owned a filament printer in over 3 years.
I love my resin printers, but it is difficult to run them during the winter due to needing ventilation.
Got 0.2mm nozzles also, but will save those for some other prototype projects.
Mini review: After using the #Framework 13 Pro the last few days I realize just how bad the MBP / Surface glossy screens are to use day-to-day in well lit rooms. Even at 60% brightness the FW matte display looks nicer without the reflections/dust the glossy shows.
The trackpad is identical to my MBP M1, but I think I might like the FW a fraction more.
I'm running Windows on it at the moment, but I would definitely say this is the MBP equivalent for Linux.
Framework 13 Pro arrived. 😍 Have tried out the older models, but this feels much more premium like my Surface / MBP. Now to cover it with stickers.
I didn't want to delay the preorder so no fancy expansion cards (sd card slot expansion card for electronics stuff).
Thought the shipping for the iPhone Duo was backlogged, but chatting with a few friends that got theirs today.
When I first got a foldable I was a bit unsure, but on my second and I think iPhone crowd will be in the same boat. Viewing photos, desktop sites, tablet optimized apps like maps etc makes using only the outer screen seem so cumbersome.
