(I just heard this joke and had to share it because it made me laugh so much!)
We talk about autistic 'rigidity' as though someone is refusing to change.
But if the world feels unpredictable, contradictory and unsafe - a familiar routine can be a place of refuge.
The more interesting question might be why that refuge is so badly needed.
