I have one dude who, and I don't know why it's only him, keeps turning in scripts that have a ~400 line function to easily change the console output font color to any of the possible colors despite it being uncalled because his script has no console output.
Something that melts my brain on a daily basis is that due to reasons, about 80% of the 'code' my team writes is #PowerShell scripts (don't ask). #VSCode is actually a good environment for this, because it has some pretty decent built in best practice analysis, like it will alert you if you have an unreferenced variable, an uncalled function, deprecated syntax, excess loops, &c. Very rookie code hygiene stuff, but useful.
The quality of content my team has been making with VSCode has been pretty good.
But now I have a couple of guys that are using #Copilot to make scripts.
So I take the code they had Copilot "write" and open it in the normal-ass VSCode ISE to proofread it.
And the goddamn thing lights up like a Christmas tree, because the Microsoft product that "wrote" the code did not follow any of... the Microsoft product that you use to edit the code's best practices.
I hate it here.
Your periodic reminder that bat bites are small and usually painless, such that most people bitten by a bat don't know it. Thus the recommendation that if you have ever even been in the same space as a bat, you should go to the ED and get vaccinated for #rabies.
So if you're worried about being exposed and your work doesn't cover it, saying "I found a bat in my house" is a great way of getting free* rabies shots if you're not like, averse to a little white lie or two.
*Around here it's covered by public health even if you don't have unsurance but YMMV.

Mmm, I see you're on our Citizen Standard™️ plan, that's only one ballot per election. Would you like to upgrade to Citizen Gold Plus™️? You get that by taking public transit sometimes and not littering. That's 3 ballots. Or there's Citizen Platinum™️ where you volunteer for a charity or two and show up to city council meetings, that's 5 votes.
Better than our current system of "whoever has the most money gets to bribe everyone" tbh.
Getting a #flu shot is up there with returning your shopping cart as a measure of being a good person, imo.
