What’s the shortest work you’ve ever finished?

Probably the angsty poetry I wrote in high school that has since been lost to time. More recently, I wrote a prequel short story from the world of Ulstra that is only about 2,500 words.

Which two characters in your story understand each other the least?

Of characters who actually know each other and interact in Crystals of Ulstra, I think Koralo and Gerda (two different POVs) understand each other least. One is from the forest, the other from the mountains; one is a forest guardian, the other a crystal seeker. They have wildly different motivations and personalities.

Is there anything that helps you get into a creative mood?

Listening to music, brainstorms with other writers, long walks. Consuming well-crafted media usually makes me want to create something of my own.

Crystals of Ulstra is not a pure romance. It’s epic fantasy. But there are still several prominent slowburn romantic relationships explored throughout the book, with fade-to-black love scenes.
