One of the Beaver and Cub Leaders in our Region is walking 8 Golf Courses in 8 days for Guide Dogs…blindfolded!
He’s taking on this charity challenge, which started yesterday, in a personal rather than a Scouting capacity though his Sections have done badgework related to Guide Dogs regularly over the years.
Brilliant stuff.

You'd expect it from Victoria of any of the Spice Girls, but Mel C of all of them? Absolute shocker!
This morning I got up early. Today was a Belated JOTI for us and some other Scout Groups we were hooking up with.
We met with our regular overseas Group, and this time they brought the company of another half way through.
It was great to have another Group to chat with.
And this time we had a record number of Young People in our Group attending. DOUBLE our previous best!
Probably should make clear that this post yesterday was just me poking fun that I ended up spending a long time doing some mundane work that I probably shouldn't have spent so long on.
Was given an assortment of things today that I can use myself, in various things I'm involved with and/or may donate to someone I know if they want it (otherwise keeping for Cubs).
They would've been binned otherwise, so I'm happy to at least see if I can find use of them or give to someone that can.
I am a hoarder, so I try not to accept things unless I'm sure they will be used.
The items range from sporting equipment, to camping, to electronics accessories and fidget toy-esque puzzles.
Going to pretend Storm Austen is a descendant of Jane.
