Blimey. LCE are efficient. Despatched within about 15 minutes of the order! Decided another dynax 5 slr with cheesy kit lens would make a good winter snotter which could then be put to good use in the nicer weather with a macro lens. I have more lenses than bodies so it saves having to keep changing them. Also means I don't ruin any of the decent ones with condensation or temperature change degradation.

There were some cheaper minoltas but they were a bit basic or dusty/sticky grip looking.

Found quite a few NT places that are open pretty much all of the cold months. Quite a few shut end of October. Now wondering which camera should be the winter snotter that risks being knackered by the cold weather.

Only one I can think of that might just lap it up is the weathermatic as it's water proof and designed to be dunked in the sea and then used on a hot beach or on a boat.

Getting fed up of the useless battery life on the apple watch. The optimised battery charge thing isn't charging an already degraded battery to full so it is making the already poor battery life worse! Turned that off. The fact it's already degraded 10% even with this feature on shows how useless it is at protection anyway.

An interesting consequence of this is that it now means heat pumps save a bit less as you don't have the savings from the standing gas charges to factor in. Also it then makes sense to keep the gas supply as it has no standing charges....

I seem to have fixed the bothersome bog seat that snaps shut if you open both bits. Turns out there's a tightener on one side. You can't adjust it fore and aft for a more reclined seat angle so it has to work on resistance. Tighten that up and now it stays upright instead of trying to snap at you like a demented turtle.

Will make cleaning it a lot easier as it was a bit tiresome getting a bruised arm if you weren't keeping an eye on it.

Well this is aggravating. Found my better Hama tripod and it's one with a quick release plate. Can't find the sodding plate. Can't get another plate so it looks like the whole tripod is potentially scrap. I've lost it before as I had bought another from Amazon but that one has disappeared. I am sure I have seen the wretched thing somewhere in the last month as well. Can't remember where.

Found two others for another tripod that nearly fit but they're just slightly too big. Dammit.
