Second week of @djangonaut picked up the speed after the first one. I got my first contributions merged in and as a team, we made great progress towards bringing the project and its development environment to modern day.

Yesterday, a flaky test took me on a debugging journey.

A test that fails seemingly randomly and never when you're focusing on just that test can be a difficult one to pin down.

I wrote a blog post about how I approached the situation and narrowed down the case to where I was able to consistently make it fail or succeed — and then find out why it did so and eventually fix it.

Following a methodology that doesn’t rely on assumptions or prior knowledge of the codebase, I managed to narrow down the culprit and work from there to create a fix.
