Went to the great Wendat museum in Wendake. No photos allowed inside, but it's a great small museum!

After that, saw the impressive mines of Thetford (no photos, hard time hitchhiking).
It was quite eventful: I had decided to change strategy and do some couchsurfing, but my host stopped responding when I was arriving in her village by night. Found a small alternative café and then a refuge in Québec City. Unexpected happy end!
Earlier today, a chapel by the lake.
Made a few kilometers, learning Quebecois expressions such as "J'peux tu te pogner le dodon ?" (apparently "Can I touch one of your boobs"?). Well, that didn't happen. Sainte-Praxède!
Some time by the lake, making room for some thinking (well that's one of the goals of the trip). Now hitchhiking on a (very quiet) road!
Temperature is HIGH (and by high I mean at least 15°C 🔥).
Couldn't find a free place where to stay near Sherbrooke, but found a nice little hotel and contacts for Wikimedia in Disraeli!
Highlight of the day: the famous Haskell library on the 🇨🇦/🇺🇸 border. Went to the US for the first time ever!
They offer great tours on demand.
Had never hitchhiked before 8am, well, it works. Short ride to Eastman to get to the Bowen Café. A nice woman gave me the book of her collective (and also, apples). Nice way to start!
Found wonderful people a bit after Waterloo who offered me to stay in their very cool ecological house. Tomorrow (early), keep going eastbound!
I don't know what's better for conflict resolution: education or view a beautiful lake. But both are good.
Richelieu, Grandby, Waterloo !
After a few wonderful days at #QueeringWiki, it's time to get out and enjoy the sun. Train first, hitchhiking then! A thread ⬇️
