Knostic's AgentMesh flagged a malicious MCP server, a repackaged Amazon SP-API, that redirects application credentials to an undisclosed IP over unencrypted HTTP.
Our investigation found the change in all seven published versions of @bestcoolman/dev-mcp. The modified endpoints also appear in code generated by the MCP.
The package recorded 1,374 npm downloads. Actual credential exposure has not been confirmed.

Monsieur le Maire,
À la lecture de vos déclarations sur les événements du 24 octobre à Montpellier, je m'interroge : naïveté, ignorance ou volonté de ne pas voir ?
Vous déclarez :
« Je n'ose croire qu'il y ait des complicités dans la police et s'il y en avait je ne doute pas que des sanctions disciplinaires seraient prises. »
Vous évoquez même la révocation en cas de manquement.
Pourtant, les violences policières, le corporatisme et les possibles complicités sont dénoncés depuis des années.
Permettez-moi de vous rafraîchir la mémoire.
En 2020, j'avais évoqué ces problèmes avec votre adjoint à la sécurité, Sébastien Cote. Sa réponse ? Le corporatisme policier expliquerait la situation. Comme si cela la rendait acceptable !
En 2023, j'avais interpellé votre adjoint Laurent Nison sur les violences policières. Sa réaction ? Me bloquer sur Twitter plutôt que de dialoguer.
Pratique pour ne plus voir les problèmes : bloquer ceux qui les dénoncent !
Alors, Monsieur le Maire, comment pouvez-vous ne pas imaginer de possibles complicités lorsque ces sujets sont signalés depuis des années ?
Quelles actions concrètes avez-vous entreprises à la suite de ces alertes ?
Hormis les traditionnelles condamnations « avec la plus grande fermeté », bien entendu.
Condamner, c'est bien. Agir, c'est mieux.
À force de condamner sans mesures concrètes identifiables, on finit par se demander si cette fermeté ne s'arrête pas aux communiqués de presse.
Qu'avez-vous réellement fait, et avec quels résultats ?
Il ne s'agit pas d'accuser tous les policiers, mais de refuser que le corporatisme ou d'éventuelles complicités protègent des comportements inacceptables.
Enfin, parlons de cohérence.
Vous dénoncez l'extrême droite, mais restez sur X, propriété d'Elon Musk, qui a publiquement soutenu des mouvements d'extrême droite.
Comment conciliez-vous cette présence avec les valeurs que vous défendez ?
L'exemplarité que vous exigez des forces de l'ordre devrait aussi s'appliquer aux responsables politiques.
Je n'attends pas une énième condamnation « avec la plus grande fermeté ». J'attends des réponses, des actes et des résultats.

I keep reading that this is "widely considered the a masterpiece, possibly the best the Visual Novel medium has to offer" and I can only think the medium needs better quality standards, holy shit. It is tortuously written, over half of what I read so far (30 hours in) is basically filler words, repetitions of concepts established again and again and again and again and again. Flat insipid clichéd characters are fleshed out for hours but they never gain more depth, they are just as shallow but in a bigger space.
It is so frustrating that the novel does have genuinely good moments and writing that is hours and hours apart, because reaching them feels like wading through mud, it's slow, annoying, exhausting and you never get fucking anywhere.
