In 2012 a tired and busy version of me assumed 'git' was an abbreviation, so capitalised it. Like Redis project. Or GPG.
It was a tool made the current OS kernel PO. Cloning an older *nix that no-one my age has heard of. So this fit the cultural assumptions for *nix projects.
I am now stuck with this habit.
