Since everyone is asking me at works what happens in France. Well I do not fully know since a lot can be said.

One point I have not seen discuss much that is worth sharing. Unions have lost a lot of power in France, they used (and still) be another source of power where people could politically organize and defend themselves. They also provided security in big protest controlling looting (and riot police). I am not sure they can still do that.

Obv. they are plenty of other reasons.
