A bullshit part of jury duty is that you are legally required to go, even if you aren't privileged enough to have a car. The county courthouse is over an hour bus ride away from me, including an almost a 1 mile walk. Fortunately I have a car, so it's only a 20 minute drive, but for someone poor and disabled, that'd be a nearly impossible journey.
