My 15 y.o. today: In Model U.N. I'm representing Turkiye. We're in a tough spot because 80% of our energy resources come from Russia, very unpopular on the world stage, and 99% of our natural gas comes from there. We need to diversify our energy portfolio, obviously, but that has consequences for our relationship with Russia. We don't produce any energy to speak of or any big-value consumer goods for trade. We're kind of up shit creek. Now, if we could get some of our Middle Eastern neighbors...

p.s. zero of what I attributed to my kid is made up. I blame her mother, a classics scholar. All she got from me was a love of silly music and the ability to take some mechanical things apart (but not usually put them back together).
