My personal threat intelligence curation has never really recovered fully from the loss of "infosec twitter".

The infosec twitter experience, circa ~mid 2010s, if you had more than about 10,000 followers:

• Heartbleed!
  • One of the people you talk to every day turns out to be a rapist.
  • A gas explosion just leveled the neighboring town. You're now being quoted by CNN.
  • One of your followers just stole a tank and tweeted you while joy riding. You're now being quoted by CNN.
  • Your markov chain ebooks bot just sent what appears to be threats to @nsa.
  • That weird guy you talked to a few times is now hiding in Russia with a bunch of stolen documents.
  • William Gibson just retweeted your snarky bullshit.
