Wow. #UPS charged me two adjustments totaling ~$35 for packages they accepted AT THEIR STORE and delivered more than a week ago. They claimed each package weighed ~15 pounds more than the actual #shipping weight.
To file a dispute, they want photographic proof of WEIGHT.
Right.
Fortunately, this is not my first rodeo. I submitted pictures of each carton on the shipping scale showing both of them weighed less than the rate I paid for.
I also reminded them that I offered to put each package on THEIR scale when they accepted them at THEIR store, which they declined.
So their business model is to accept your prepaid package, deliver it, and then several days AFTER delivering it, claim that it weighed more than it actually weighed... so that the evidence is no longer easily available to prove they're wrong.
What a #scam.
If you're shipping with Big Brown, take pictures and video of EVERYTHING. After sealing, use a scale along with three yardsticks to prove the dimensions.
