Making legal language more clear is good, for example not having negatively framed questions that answer "for or against" type stuff. But if you remove context to make the writing simpler to an arbitrary grade level then you risk obfuscating what it means even more.

Also will say the people in the commercial seem to be commenting on generally unclear language voting, not specifically to support this proposition. Just seems sneaky and kinda racist overall. Also it is championed by a conservative group that would love you to understand government less!
