If I realized how complex it was at the start I'd never have tried to learn it. It only sank in about halfway through and at this point I'm just finishing it so I can actually have learned a song. Not giving up again.
Fun complexity metric: there's only two 4-bar phrases that appear ≥3 times. Every other distinct phrase appears 2 times or less. There's 17 distinct 4-bar phrases to memorize. It has not been fun.
I am almost there.
I hope the next song I learn, I still like by the end of learning it.
