It's obscene how the mainstream press went along with the French and Italian governments in using reporting on violent events to avoid reporting on the protests themselves. Thing is the issues that triggered those protests didn't magically disappear just because they're not talked about in mainstream outlets, and the people involved - both young and old - know that all too well.
