A tangential thought: Thinking about it right now, the human experience seems intrinsically isolating.
That's always more vivid after hours spent on a solo focused task like programming, but even in a room full of people you're immersed in your own experience.
Even while being intimate with someone, it's still *your* experience that you're experiencing - even if part of that experience is thinking about what they might be experiencing.
Even while listening to someone describe their experience, you're still parsing it through the filter of what those words and descriptions mean to you.
You can't get outside of it. We're all perpetually and inescapably stuck in our own heads.
It's a wonder we ever feel connected to each other at all.
