Similar goes for visual / UX design: The thing might look like something nice, but until I see the code interactions inside and with its surroundings. Until I can play with it. Until I see it within a context of where it’s being used. Until there is a real user giving real feedback…
Until then all the figmas, flows, interviews are just 🤷🏻‍♂️

What I’m trying to say here is that we really overcomplicated the (software) development process. The good intention there was that only if we’ve caught issues earlier we could somehow lower the costs. Willfully ignoring the extra costs of the extra steps, because that’s the best practice now.
I’d love things to get simpler, easier, truly iterative.
