Russia is unbelievably, unfathomably corrupt and because companies are so terrified of Putin they follow and impose rules => predictable
China was more relaxed and there was give and take and things were done the Chinese way.
But in the EU if my employer wants to give fake contracts, defraud me out of money and decide that because I am not from London or New York they can simply hire a tourist with zero consequences for either.
Even on EU platforms I encounter "UK nationals only jobs"
