#Apple has now announced that they’ll be releasing #logicpro 13 at some as yet undecided future date. It requires at a minimum macOS 26 (Tahoe), but for the advanced AI features now being added it requires macOS 27 (Golden Gate).

This is definitely the end of the line for me and Logic. I’m running on Sequoia and have absolutely no interest or intention of upgrading beyond that point. It’s not broken so why upgrade? The search for a new DAW starts today.

New OLED MacBook Pros seem to be same design from what I can tell but with a mini Dynamic Island instead of a notch at the top. Wonder how much that is down to them needing it for thermals maybe as they cancelled the M6 Pro and Max chips.

Gurmans price hike sadly is true though, starting at £2,899 is one hell of a starting point. Same specced machine I was tempted to get when M5 pro & max chips were announced at start of March is whopping £1000 more 🤯

It’s the smallest of problems what with <waves hands> but wow, the new #Apple Music icon is just ugly. In a sea of colorful, expressive icons on my iPad and iPhone there’s this ugly “we didn’t even try” thing. It’s offensive.

I suppose when the loyalist Apple TV crowd auto bought the Apple TV after its second price hike this probably gave Apple marketing team the ammunition to confirm they can simply charge whatever they want & the pre-orders will still fulfil their at launch inventory

CVE-2026-86950 (CoreGraphics) was exploited in the wild and patched in September — for modern devices. Older iPhones capped at iOS 18 had no fix available for a month.
