UGH.

So someone internally raised the fact "hey, we have #PHP on <one of our devices>" and so technically one of our products is affected and now I have EVERY exec LOSING THEIR SHIT and asking for status updates every 30 minutes im like hold the crap on, I'm still doing the technical assessment, and they're like "Copilot said to do this" or "Claude suggested". UGH. uh yeah, you have no idea how we use PHP dude just chill out.

Anyone else currently enjoying the c-suite #php2shell hug of death aka "oh no, news about it made it to LinkedIn now I have seven executives backseat driving everything im doing."?

- there is no "busy" indicator or spinner to indicate something is going round trip with the server (or the server is busy), you just have no idea its doing anything, yet you think its doing nothing. But remember how it opens shit in new browser tabs? You'll think something didn't work, click seven more times, then six minutes later BAM seven new tabs open.

- we paid a consultancy firm seven figures to help us migrate from our old self-hosted ERP system to this. Finance dept. took all of the budget for training so 4 yrs in we still have no idea what we're doing in the other depts.

- we'll figure it out eventually. Just in time to migrate to SAP used by our new corporate owner in two more years. Yay.

Things I hate about our #ERP system in no particular order

- when you add a row to a grid element and you change a value in some cell in that row that causes the row to move up/down in the grid, you lose input focus; wouldn't be a big deal unless adding a new row is always at the bottom and you may want to specify that row goes in between two existing rows and you're doing rapid entry with the numpad.

- its web based; drilling into a detail card, opens the new detail <thing> in a new tab instead of just replacing the visible card/tab/screen with a "back" mechanism.

- you're logged out after 5 mins of inactivity; when you log back in, each and every browser tab is now zeroed out and retains no history. So fck you if you were eyes deep in seventeen things all spread out across that many browser tabs, you have to start opening them all over again.

- object audit/change log doesn't work and no log. So I have no way of telling who changed what when (i.e. who to BLAME)
