There is no problem in modern medicine that cannot be solved with another prescription, although that usually ends up causing another problem.
Seems I have traded spicy alphabet soup (ADHD) for tachycardia.
Allegedly Chaotic Neutral. Both helpful and frustrating. Building sand castles at the base of an active volcano.

Some needs to update the Unipiper's Wikipedia page...
The lesson in patience that comes from only having one (1) 3D Printer, needing to print 40+ nearly identical pieces, and needing to keep them ordered, but not wanting to go through the effort to boolean in a serial number on each piece.
If you change the order of the shots at Skidmore Fountain and Voodoo Doughnuts, you get a route from St Johns down along the east Eastbank Emplanade to at least the Morrison Bridge, then up the Waterfront Park to at least the Steel Bridge, probably up Flanders through Old Town, back down Burnside until 3rd, Akeny back to the waterfront, and then back up to St Johns.
To explain why it's funny: Wildwood is a stop motion animation which means all the characters are articulated puppets.
Handmade in Oregon.
We really just let Adam run around the entire studio, didn't we?
Glad that we got to highlight that production started right before the pandemic - so early practical builds were done with pizza boxes during lockdown.
Wildwood is out in theaters today!
If you are going to see #Wildwood this weekend, remember to stay through the credits. I have it on good authority (my own eyes) that there is a button after the credits showing some BTS work.
Seeing how stop motion animation happens doesn't make it seem like any less of a magic trick; if anything it makes it seem like more of a one.
Tens of thousands of hours of work go into every frame. A second of animation can take all day shoot.
"There's not enough parking in the community!"
"We know."
"Do something about it!"
"Okay. If we demolish your building that gives us room for eight more parking spaces."
"Wait, what?"
"But we *need* AI to write code!"
"Margaret Hamilton wrote code that landed men on the moon! By hand! Sixty years ago!"
"AI is not a tool; AI can go fuck itself." - Travis Knight, founder, CEO of Laika
Somewhere out there an tech bro prompts his AI girlfriend every morning for a summary of what he did the day before, pretending he's Tony Fucking Stark when really he's ... honestly I can't think of a fictional character pathetic enough to be an apt comparison.
Every time somebody blanks on what they did yesterday in standup I hear the voice of Sean Connery say, "I wrote it down so I wouldn't have to remember!"
One day until Wildwood is in theaters!
"Side effects of (ADHD Medication) may include trouble concentrating..."
You had one job!
A week's worth of work in stacked PRs has resulted in a roughly +12,000 / -15,000 line cumulative change - all of it pure, artisanal, hand crafted code.
Amazing what you can do with experience, a deep understanding of the code base, and >90% test coverage from over 1,000 tests.
I do not like this game of "side effect or coincidence" when starting new meds.
A close up look at some of the stop motion puppet armatures on Wildwood
The Torment Nexus has finally been nerfed in the latest StarCraft balance patch.
Two days until Wildwood is in theaters!
It's impressive that after 15 years and almost 300 episodes, the Mythbusters still have all of their fingers.
Someone in the core pipeline team just learned what load bearing technical debt is.
Them: "So we wrote up this proposal, converted it to Markdown, and fed it to the slop machine..."
Me: (screaming internally)
Three days until Wildwood is in theaters!
Past Ryan: "What if it doesn't work?"
Past Ryan: "That's a problem for future Ryan."
Future Ryan: "...fuck."
Intruder alert!
"Going on a medication doesn't mean you'll be on it for the rest of your life."
Doc, yes it does. All my medications are for chronic illness.
