Clyde Holliday, an instrument specialist at APL, well understood the importance of the photos for the study of Earth.

Holliday wrote in a Nat Geo article in 1950 - "Results of these tests now are pointing to a time when cameras may be mounted on guided missiles for scouting enemy territory in war, mapping inaccessible regions of the earth in peacetime, and even photographing cloud formations, storm fronts, and overcast areas over an entire continent in a few hours."

1b. YAGNI: "You Aint Gonna Need It". Don't write code that you think you might need in future, but don't need yet.

The same is true for commenting-out code; if a block of commented code is going into a release, it shouldn't exist. If it is code that may be restored, make a ticket and reference the commit hash for the code delete. YAGNI is a core element of agile programming. The best reference for this is Extreme Programming Explained, by Kent Beck.

A heroic knight character breakdown shown across three different pixel sprite sizes. It is so awesome to see how a simple micro sprite transforms into a fully detailed warrior with a cape, sword, and shield. The silver armor and golden trim give him such a classic 16-bit fantasy RPG aesthetic. Which sprite size would you love to control as a playable character in an indie game?

Linkguard never touches your main branch. By default it only reports dead links, and if you turn on open-pr it opens a pull request that swaps them for Wayback copies, so you can read the report before anything changes. A tool quietly rewriting old posts on its own seemed like a bad idea.
