It's so stupid that a dishwasher can reasonably be considered to be a threat. It could be recruited into a botnet, or used as a residential proxy, or mine Monero, and the usual owner would be none the wiser.

These things shouldn't even need access to the internet at all. That they somehow require internet connectivity is also stupid.
