Occasionally #Rimworld gives you an event to host refugees. Sometimes, the refugees will turn against you. Unfortunately, they weren't the brightest crayons in the box. Like, I think they ate the crayon box.

my mechbay opens up into a huge underground highway that goes around my base. I have some areas blocked off with armored doors into the rest of the mountain. More than once I've propped open the doors when a bug have invasion has happened, said "COME THE FUCK ON IN, IT ISNT A PARTY WITHOUT YOU". and let them experience flamethrowers.

Of course, the flamethrowers don't kill all of them, but fun fact: bugs are susceptible to smoke, and will wander around in a daze if exposed to it for too long. So then it was just a group of four colonists with beam sabers in full power armor with full immunity to smoke inhalation wandering into the tunnels, hacking away at bugs who were too out of it to defend themselves.
