At 8:26 I make a video, then sing through the rest of the hour, pack up, walk homeward for a day of teaching, errands, resistance tasks, and a meeting. I am almost finished with my last batch of voter postcards; I did four hours of phone-banking over the weekend; I've got a loaf of bread to bake and a Registry of Motor Vehicles to visit and a bunch of video to edit.

Congratulations to Lula and the people of Brazil. May yesterday's elections both there and in Serbia signal a growing anti-fascist wave that will wash over my battered and beleaguered nation as well in the days to come! I will be very grateful to have even a few months' respite from the Most Important Election Of Our Lifetime, which seems to be happening constantly.
