#syncthing

\o/ yay.

I have managed to repurpose an old Galaxy S7 with #lineageOS23 thanks to this hoopy frood: https://github.com/flo2theO/Samsung-Galaxy-S7-Lineageos

The Android 8.0.0 that was on there was refusing to allow #syncthing (#syncthingFork really) to store a large (200GB) shared folder on an SD card. The shared folder being my #mp3 #music collection, which I'm switching back to because all #streaming services suck.

with the excellent #folderplayer for playback: https://folderplayer.com
(for those of us who already have a folder-curated collection)

#musicbrainz for laptop side curation and tagging

#syncthing for syncing.

My dad won't share a volume we are collaborating on over #syncthing because it is "one more thing" and I get it.
I see it as #BigTech burnout. Attention monopolized and mined dry by the necessities too many of us are locked into.
Makes me think, if "one more thing" could be the only one thing someone needed to get #digitalSovereignty, what could that look like?
I have my ideas, but I'll leave it as an exercise for your magnificent imagination.
