Trying to de-google a bit and remembered my previous mastodon account ([email protected]) was attached to an old gmail address. This newer account is not, and uses the same alias I have on other public projects.
In turn, I'll likely be more professional here, and use other instances as an outlet for high-key shitposting.
So many of the complaints about "brainless button mashing, repetition, it's over in half an hour" vanish when you have to think and strategize how to make your credit last longer, and design starts becoming apparent as you are forced to engage with it instead of simply buying your way through.
RFC 9562 says UUIDv7 implementations MAY alter the timestamp and makes no guarantee about how close it is to the actual time. Postgres docs also warn the extracted timestamp may not equal creation time. A post on alexsci.com shows Python's uuid.uuid7() running 3,695 s ahead of the clock after a one hour rollback, and growing under load. A CPython developer says to assume the system is flawed.
Damn it! I’m well. The email found me.

This would lead us to the second question:
What percentage of that agricultural land could we free up by shifting to plant-based diets? 🌱
Prediction markets are betting markets, and without any usefulness.
Whatever they say on outcomes of elections is merely a reflection of existing aggregated polling and odds; there is no unique discovery of information. The "wisdom of the masses" is nothing more than everyone looking at the polls and aggregated polling.
They are not "futures" markets; they have nothing tangible underlying their bets, thus making "price discovery" a thing. The financial nomenclature used is nothing but BS attempting to avoid state regulation.
Don't overthink this shit.

A friend made a similar comment, to paraphrase, “if you write your own code you are a dinosaur”. I told him I wrote my own code and proceeded to the bar.
When he came by later and asked why I wrote code myself I just said that if I didn’t understand the code I putting into a project I wouldn’t use it until I had learned and understood what it did.
“If you don’t use AI you’re going to get left behind.” Gosh, I sure hope so. I see where you’re going and it sucks.

See below: 1% of land we use goes to Urban & built-up land, and 48% goes to Agriculture, so 48/49th of human-made land goes to agriculture.
My partner is currently in her office at work. Texting me that she's been taking mandatory cybersecurity training classes for managers. She's absolutely passing. She's been hanging around me too long though. She's definitely getting how much shit rolls downhill to end users, and ends up being their responsibility. And it shouldn't be.
Google's privacy policy, effective Oct 16, now says it won't show personalized ads based on Drive, Gmail or Photos content "unless you choose to make data from these services available to other Google services that support personalized ads." The Oct 1 version had no exception. Google says ads won't be "based directly" on your inbox. Android Authority: disconnecting may not erase data already saved in Search Services History.

I had a problem. I used #3dPrinting to make a tool. I no longer had a problem!
These #shelly pro 1 relays were in a tight box and I wanted to make a wired connection to my switch. I couldn’t get the RJ45 plug to line up without messing with the other wiring.
So, I fired up #OpenSCAD, grabbed my calipers, and had a design in 15 minutes. 10 minutes of printing and my tool worked the first time.
The first cable w/o the tool? 15 minutes.
Cables 2-5? 15 minutes total.
I totally bought into #tedtalks, it seemed like the world finally got hep.

Just to test this out, I've tried a few things out with this compromised eMudhra cert. And in doing so, I realized that there were some differences between what accepts an eMudhra intermediate with a root in emSign Root TLS CA - G3 vs. one with a root in AAA Certificate Services. As such, I've added a drop-down to allow you to pick which one you want in tapioca.
For example, both RHEL (Rocky) 10.1 and Mint 22.3 allow (if you're not fully up to date to pick up this October fun) the G3 root, but not the AAA root.
Some of the physical devices I've tested:
- Old Pixel 3 : ❌
- Alfred Camera : ❌
- Old Amazon Fire TV Stick: ✅
So, it's not a magic bullet. It seems that some systems didn't support eMudhra certs even before this month's fun. And supported systems that are getting updates will surely drop support for this cert if it had it before.
BUT, at least with this small sample set, I'd bet that this will open up the ability to see some traffic contents that were previously unavailable on some systems.
However, in my defense Google's default search results list rufus[.]ie as the authoritative site
