Node.js Releases Critical Security Updates to Fix Brotli Remote Code Execution and Network Flaws

Node.js released security updates for 10 vulnerabilities, including a critical remote code execution flaw in the Brotli decoder (CVE-2026-111497) and multiple network validation bypasses. These vulnerabilities reside in the core runtime, requiring administrators to update host systems, rebuild container images, and restart all services.

**If you run Node.js anywhere, update it right away to version 22.23.4, 24.22.1 or 26.12.1, then rebuild any containers or apps that bundle Node.js and restart all Node.js services (your usual dependency scanners won't catch this, so check the runtime versions yourself). If you're still on old versions like 20.x, 23.x or 25.x, they will never be fixed. Move to a supported version ASAP. Until you can patch, block Brotli-compressed (br) traffic at your proxy or firewall as a temporary shield.**

remember this?

"...a letter signed by over 100 former Republican national security officials stating that while they, alumni of every Republican administration from Reagan to Trump, 'expect to disagree with Kamala Harris on many domestic and foreign policy issues' they also 'firmly oppose the election of Donald Trump.'

[...]

The message coming from Washington’s foreign policy elite, many of them directly responsible for the counterproductive and failed U.S wars and interventions of the last 40 years, is loud and clear. They do not like, trust, and indeed, perhaps even fear, the return of Trump..."

I have no idea how crucial Melania Trump’s involvement was to get this ceasefire — but the fact she can swoop in and claim any credit just goes to show how little Kushner and Witkoff are actually pursuing any type of peace agreement.

— ‘The White House statement said the ceasefire was brokered by Melania Trump, and her representative worked directly with Russian and Ukrainian ‌leadership to define the terms. “Residents who wish to evacuate will receive coordinated support and transportation to their preferred destination. I anticipate some will want to go to Russia, and some to Ukraine,” the first lady said.

Despite the claim the ceasefire had been brokered by Melania Trump, there had already been protracted efforts to organise a humanitarian ceasefire, with claims by Ukrainian officials that it had been Russia that had rejected previous calls.’

My wife is posing for a photo in the middle of nature, with my camera pointed at her. If you look closely, you can see a pedestrian and a cyclist passing by on the path. It’s not a secluded path—it’s right here, near our house. That makes it even more exciting, an extra thrill.
