Reading Merlin Sheldrake’s book, it’s great. Apparently, psilocybin is one of the compounds in a fungus that colonizes cicadas, and turn them into zombies. So now we know what seeing the face of God means. You’re a zombie. We are used to talking about cults as being brainwashing operations. But maybe all religion is. Maybe the highest, most exalted form of authentic religious feeling is about surrendering yourself to serve the higher purpose of the fungal gods.
I occurred to me this morning that, each morning I take medicine for ADHD and anxiety.
It's literally a "calm down and chill out" combo.

Dwarf Planet candidate ED138 was not discovered until now because it currently lies in a region of the sky close to the plane of the Milky Way — a region filled with millions of stars.
The video below shows the orbital path of ED138, as observed by the NSF–DOE Vera C. Rubin Observatory from 4 March 2026 to 11 July 2026, against a background filled with stars.
The angular distance traveled in the 4 months is quite small, ~1°, given its orbital period of 281 years.

There were a couple of programming books I wanted to buy ('Grokking Algorithms' and 'Grokking Data Structures'). Looked at both Apple Books and Kindle and they were $50 each which was too much for me. Then I discovered them for sale directly from the publisher's site for only $30 each *and* that gets you *both* DRM free epub and pdf files.

LaunchpadBug #2172370 “HP OMEN Gaming Laptop 16-ap0xxx (board 8E35): inte...” : Bugs : linux package : Ubuntu[Impact]
On the HP OMEN Gaming Laptop 16-ap0xxx (DMI board 8E35, BIOS F.13) the
internal digital microphone array does not appear at all with the Ubuntu
26.04 kernel (7.0.0-42-generic). Only the headset-jack input is offered,
so the laptop has no built-in mic for calls or dictation.
The audio coprocessor is AMD ACP 1022:15e2 revision 0x62 (RPL). With the
stock kernel it is claimed by snd_rpl_pci
