That said: in that list the best RATs were only reliable for high viral loads... if someone's viral load was medium to low they were less reliable... IIRC the best RATs had a sensitivity of a bit over 50% across ALL viral loads.
Here's the XLS of the sensitivity of various RATs from the PEI (data is old): https://www.pei.de/SharedDocs/Downloads/DE/newsroom/dossiers/archivversion-vergleichende-evaluierung-sensitivitaet-sars-cov-2-antigen-schnelltests-30-05-2022-xls.xlsx?__blob=publicationFile&v=6

edit to add: the medomics brand back then had a sensitivity of 42% across all viral loads and that's just for SARS... not for flu, metapneumovirus or RSV.

Congratulations to Lula and the people of Brazil. May yesterday's elections both there and in Serbia signal a growing anti-fascist wave that will wash over my battered and beleaguered nation as well in the days to come! I will be very grateful to have even a few months' respite from the Most Important Election Of Our Lifetime, which seems to be happening constantly.

See you tomorrow.

At 8:26 I make a video, then sing through the rest of the hour, pack up, walk homeward for a day of teaching, errands, resistance tasks, and a meeting. I am almost finished with my last batch of voter postcards; I did four hours of phone-banking over the weekend; I've got a loaf of bread to bake and a Registry of Motor Vehicles to visit and a bunch of video to edit.

A Beautiful Gift From One of Mama’s Followers! | Dementia Care Love

#OnThisDay Did y'all know this beautiful, thoughtful blanket was a gift from one of our followers? I absolutely LOVED this gift! It's such a blessing to know that people who have never met us personally think enough of us to send something so thoughtful. The love and support y'all continue to show us never goes unnoticed, and I am truly grateful!

the replies to this are IMO the Ur example of the reply person

One can imagine these people in 1980 or so, replying to poll "do you use a word processor" and they all say word processors rot your brain

FUN FACT: Libreboot 26.10 added support for Framework Laptop Chromebook Edition - a framework chromebook. See:

./mk -b coreboot cros_adl_banshee

These Google Chromebook target names are so opaque that I didn't realise what I had. I was informed that I'd imported it when importing MrChromebox.

https://codeberg.org/libreboot/lbmk/src/branch/master/config/module/coreboot/cros_adl_banshee

Source-only, as with other Chromebooks in the recent release. This inherits upstream MrChromebox code. You can build it in lbmk using the above target name. See, Libreboot build instructions:

https://libreboot.org/docs/build/

They have some other hardware that interests me for addition into the next major Libreboot release. I'm also looking at System 76 and Dasharo coreboot trees, as they have some pretty high-end hardware too.

Libreboot 26.10 was the starting gun on a series of rapid modernisation efforts that I will make to Libreboot in the coming years.

I'm in two minds because Framework have done some quite, well, questionable things recently. Still, hardware is hardware.

Opera Neon is the company’s testbed for an agentic web, but it’s just one piece of a broader strategy. After speaking with the company about its multi-browser approach, we're intrigued by where this could go. https://www.pcmag.com/opinions/operas-bet-on-bespoke-browsers-could-actually-pay-off

China OSINT Master isn't for almost anyone. That's deliberate.

The Adversary Military Intelligence module, the live collection on TRACE, the custom research on your real targets — this is capability that belongs in specific hands. So enrollment is restricted to active government, defense, federal, military, and intelligence, with verification required. Not a marketing filter. A condition of what's inside.

The same reason it's restricted is the reason it's trusted: government, defense, and intelligence teams who can't afford to get it wrong rely on this tradecraft, and Chinese state channels have flagged us as a threat. You don't get watched for teaching the surface.

If your work is at that level, this program was built for the room you're already in. If you're not sure whether you qualify, that's a conversation before you enroll, not after.
