Good overview of what touch input means for macOS. Random thoughts:
• Optionally, you can touch-pinch to zoom into the UI (which magnifies pixels). Seems useful. I currently use Command + scrolling for that.
• Apple can now create an MS-Surface-style laptop. I’ve been a fan of that form factor for a long time (e.g. Logitech’s Combo Touch for iPads).
My first impressions of the MacBook Pro with touch: It's about time we move on from that Steve Jobs quote. https://www.macstories.net/stories/macbook-pro-with-touch-a-mac-for-the-ipad-generation/

Fascinating AI convo
Data Centers, Debt & the Risks of AI’s Finances w/ Ed Zitron | The Weekly Show with Jon Stewart
The most annoying word from "AI" jargon.
In case you wonder, I strongly dislike all of them.
Add the ones that you dislike in comments.
Imagine a Proud Boys without "Fight Club" on the shelves.
Yeah. That level of self-awareness in a bestseller.
A regular Pied Piper.

As long as we're going to reinvent the wheel again, we might as well try making

That's definitely not a poisonous toadstool. You should eat it, it'll be delicious.
How I know I could never be one of the three Fates... one spinning the yarn, one measuring the yarn, one cutting the yarn:
1. Whenever I wrap a Christmas present, my ability to pull tape out, measure it, pull it off the roll and get it on the right spot on the package is awkward chaos theory at best. I can hear my first grade teacher chiding me now.
2. I still have to doubleknot my shoelaces if I expect my shoes to just stay tied. Let's just buy some slip-ons, okay?
3. Have you ever bought birthday balloons for someone and then tried to walk them to the person? If I take two whole steps with a set of balloons, I will have all of them so tangled up in a Gordion knot no one can ever get them undone again. Ever. Literally this is my unsuperpower.
Clothes, Lachesis and Atropos would be so unimpressed.
Obama in Georgia tonight:
"This is what I mean when I say these are not serious people.
They don't have solutions to actual problems. So, they'd rather have the media and you talking about the Cheesecake Factory.
That's the game they've been playing for the last two years.
Just keep throwing distractions out there. Attacks, fabrications, phony outrage, and hope that you won't notice that your bills are higher and your life is tougher."

Judge rejects DOJ's push to force #California to set aside 20,000 ballots Trumps #DOJ say are illegal voters.
I’d say “good try,” but it wasn’t.
More like a good call from the bench.
NBC NewsJudge declines to block California from counting alleged noncitizen voters’ ballots in DOJ lawsuitThe DOJ said it had identified over 20,000 “likely non-citizens,” but California officials said the claim wasn’t backed by evidence and the government was trying to interfere in the election.

Here is the video of Obama in Georgia tonight.
"The president wasn't even mad about the Saddam Hussein comparison.
That part didn't bother him.
But he was very upset about the Cheesecake Factory comments.
He took Great umbrage.
They mobilized a whole of govt response to that joke.
The White House even called the Secretary of the Treasury.
Not to inflation, but to that joke.
They told him he should hold a press conference in front of the Cheesecake Factory."

Minor update to this escapade. I updated Strata a few days ago and at some point between OP and now, the token speed basically doubled. I'm averaging about high 70s low 80s tok/s. In busts, it can hit in the 100-120 tokens per second range.
AMD cards may not be perfect, but it seems there's more to squeeze out of them!
La diferencia es sutil, si ustedes quieren, pero en realidad no me alegra que haya ganado Lula, me alegra que haya perdido Bolsonaro.
