Rest of WorldAI models cost more when you don’t use EnglishSome languages require far more tokens for AI models to process, raising costs and reducing context for the people who use them.

I read this headline: What is Donald Trump planning? And my first thought was: 'Die'.
(before he & his regime destroys this country & the world.)

Today, we were confronted with multiple serious warnings, including one that came directly from Senator Chris Murphy, who sits on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and attended a classified briefing on the Iran war. In a statement posted today on X, Murphy warned, “Trump is reportedly planning to restart war with Iran after the election. Some of us have been briefed on the war plan. And while I cannot disclose any details, I can say this: the plan is insane. It will not achieve objectives and will set off a new cycle of escalation.” His warning followed remarks he made yesterday at the Middle East Institute, where he went further, warning that the plan “will lead to devastating escalation and the likely destruction of our commitment to the rule of law.”

www.heatherdelaneyreese.comWhat is Donald Trump planning? At 4:36 this afternoon, the President of the United States began panicking on the tarmac at Joint Base Andrews after he was asked why his final in-person rally was abruptly canceled. With the cameras broadcasting live, Donald Trump lost control of himself and attacked a reporter in one of the most revealing fits of rage of his presidency to date. I'm the person in the department who makes coffee just because I'm here first in the morning. I found out today that a colleague has been bragging about how good our coffee is to the office, so they wanted to know what I do differently. Is it beans? Is it a press?

We use pre-ground, huge bin Folgers in a regular automatic pot. My secret?

I put an extra scoop of grounds in. When I started, they had some weak coffee. When I took over, I secretly made it stronger.

What doesn't make sense to me about the Japan hacks is that even if there was a sudden flurry of unexpected hacks exploiting unknown vulnerabilities, usually you'd learn something from each one that would help reduce the risk of the next. Maybe not in a few days, but certainly in the course of a month.

Why aren't the methods that were used for the early hacks being patched to prevent subsequent ones? Have any of the vulnerabilities been identified?

OK, so apparently this horrible new UI is the new Mastodon 5.0 default one. There's no going back. This is unusable on desktop. Apparently there is a bit of outrage on Github about the change, but this seems a deliberate redesign choice that took some time to preemptively collect user feedback, so maybe it's just me being weird. But I need to find alternative solutions.

In case there's anyone who doesn't already know, Anthropic were hacked, exposing gazillions of their customers and didn't admit it. They shut the gate the Trojan Horse came in through, locking the enemy inside. "Don't trust companies run by fascists" is my advice.

Blimey. LCE are efficient. Despatched within about 15 minutes of the order! Decided another dynax 5 slr with cheesy kit lens would make a good winter snotter which could then be put to good use in the nicer weather with a macro lens. I have more lenses than bodies so it saves having to keep changing them. Also means I don't ruin any of the decent ones with condensation or temperature change degradation.

There were some cheaper minoltas but they were a bit basic or dusty/sticky grip looking.
